2008 Fall Results
Club play is on Saturday mornings from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at the Academy of the Holy
Cross in Bethesda, Maryland beginning the first Saturday
after Labor Day weekend and continuing through the last weekend
before Thanksgiving. The street address for Holy Cross High School
is 4920 Strathmore Avenue. Here are directions.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE park in the rear bottom lot. This is a request from
the school and we do not want to jeapordize the opportunity to continue playing
at the Academy of the Holy Cross. The only people who should be parking the near the field are
those transporting equipment. Thank you all for understanding and cooperating
with Holy Cross.
Uniforms
On your first day of club, you will be assigned a team and given
a reversible pinney to wear each time you show up at club.
Teams
WFHA Club is composed of 4 teams. They will be reorganized and renamed in the 2008 season.
(Here are the pictures taken fall 2007)
Blue Bayou

The blue team is called Blue Bayou, as in "blew by YOU".
The Key Limes

"Some of our players have been playing together for over
10 years. Also, we are a team that loves to play hockey, have fun,
enjoy some competition and are always looking for new members. We
love the sport of field hockey and are thankful to WFHA for giving
us the chance to play."
-Captain of The Key Limes
Code Red

"This year, Code Red can really live up to their name. After
several years, the team has finally acquired real red shirts! This
has made the team very excited, and has led them to a good start this
season. This year, Code Red is made up of some regulars, some new
faces, and some old faces not seen in a few years, all coming together
weekly for some 'red hot' hockey action."
-Captain of Code Red

"The Buzzers are optimistic about this season. It's encouraging
to see a lot of familiar faces and enthusiastic newcomers. All I
can say is that the team oozes "Hockey Spirit". The members
of the Yellow team are all looking forward to having a great season
with the Green, Red, and Blue
teams. In addition, the Buzzers would like to thank all of the WFHA
officers for the great job they have done organizing the association."
