Tryouts & Selections
We made some changes effecting eligibility for
Washington teams this season, in the event we need to have selections
for a Washington 1 and a Washington 2 team.
The only eligibility requirement for the
Washington 2 team team is to pay your dues and show up to play!
However, in order to reflect our desire that Washington 1 not only be
made up of our more skilled players, but also of our players who "give
back" to the organization, we have added and changed our eligibility
requirements.
Beyond the try-outs themselves, in order to be
selected for the Washington 1 team, a player must have paid their dues,
attended 67% of scheduled Association practices and met ONE
of the following conditions:
- Organize and conduct a clinic for club play.
- Organize and conduct a clinic or drill for
Association practice.
- Officiate a club event.
- Attend 50% of club play (excluding Saturdays
when Associaton events have been scheduled).
- Serve on the WFHA or SEFHA Board
If you have traditionally been a Washington 1
player and anticipate having a problem meeting these requirements and
feel you have contributed to the organization in other ways, please do
not hestitate to contact a Board member and explain your situation.
We are still looking for a Selections Chairperson
to help us work on some of these issues, so if you are interested
please contact the WFHA President.

League Play
Each association will organize a play day. An
effort will be made to invite teams outside of the Southeast
organization and to incorporate different "types" of games, for
instance, having a men only game, a women only game, and perhaps even a
masters game -- the set up of the play day will be up to the host.
The Frannie Homer Bowl, the award given to the
champion of the Southeast league, will be awarded the weekend before
the Southeast Tournament, the date and time of which will be announced
later.
Please refer to master Association schedule for
play days scheduled for this season.
